Aleix Font

Freelance documentary filmmaker.

Graduated in Audiovisual Media from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, he received a scholarship to study film at Universidad Mayor in Santiago de Chile during his final year. He also had the opportunity to take part in a documentary residency with filmmaker José Luis Torres Leiva.

Born in Barcelona, he has lived in Montreal (Quebec) and Brussels (Belgium) in recent years, where he wrote and directed his first short films Jacob (2021) and Hi haurà un dia (2018). His international background has given him a broad and open perspective that has inspired him to explore non-fiction cinema, approaching human stories from an intimate and committed point of view. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Creative Documentary at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
